There Are Worse Ways To Go

Death By Licking...

There are worse ways to go.

Stop Staring

In respone to similar shirts that read, "Hey, I'm up there."

In my own defense, I know women who would gladly wear this shirt.

Happy Fourth to a Gorgeous Marine

In keeping with the July 4th theme, I thought I’d roll out the red, white and blue as well.

While on the one hand, it’s a fairly unimaginative piece – little more than “Nude Vicky in Temple with a Sword” – it’s also an attempt to recreate a photo I had the good fortune of taking about ten years ago. While the flag was absent from the original photo, I did get to take a picture of a very sexy, nude Marine curled up with an M16. Alas, I didn’t get a full model release from her at the time, so I can’t post the photo for comparison.

Now, this is not actually Vicky. It’s my first attempt with Glamorous Glennis, a.k.a. Glam-Jessi. On the whole, it was a pretty good experience. The leg/hip areas seem to handle these extreme bends much better than Vicky, but I miss all the extra morphs I’m used to with Vicky. For example, I would have like to beef up the biceps on her, but I couldn’t. Still, for the intro price, it was a bargain. She’ll almost certainly replace Jessi in my renders.

The hair is a modified “Jessi Red” strand hair.

Stop Feeling...

This is really just a one-off of my earlier "Stop Staring" image, to which Prog asked, "Does that shirt come in braille?" How could I resist?

"Stop Feeling My Tits..." Well, you can figure out the rest.

Invoking Power

This began as just a pinup, trying to duplicate a photo I saw online, but it morphed into something a little different. Enjoy.

Looking back, this has become one of my favorite images.

To Britain's Enemies

... may this be your last sight on this earth.

Too sad and angry to express myself with words today.

----

I made this image right after the London subway bombings. Alas, it was controversial enough at my older gallery that the other patrons trashed it in the ratings.

Finger Licking Good

Just a quick attempt at a close-up portrait. While I've been quite happy with dynamic hair for the most part, it gave me far too much trouble this time.

Peeping Don

Don is always willing to take the Saturday night shift.

. . .

I was just playing around with some pin-up ideas and decided to try to push the Poser6 resources to the max. That's two V3's, a Glamorous-Jessi, and Don hiding in the background. It's all dynamic hair, except for Don, who shaved his head for the occasion.

False Hope

No, those footsteps in the corridor above were not her rescuer.

. . .

That's a V3 down below, and a James come to "visit".

The floor and grate are mine. That's the All-in-Wonder dress -- or it was before I exported it and cut it shreds and brought it back in as dynamic cloth. The hair is dynamic.

Looking back, this has become one of my favorite pieces mostly for how convincing her look of horror is, but also for the comment left by a user at another gallery:

Normally Poser pictures with women being tortured are mysoginistic and ill conceived, but this one works really well. It tells a story and really conveys a feeling of dread without being sick and twisted. Everything is suggested and not overtly stated. Well done.

Becoming...

...but becoming what I don't know.

. . .

This was really just a chance to go wild with the atmosphere in the material room. I figured that I could play with the density with a texture map. Then I figured I could vary it by the P variable, i.e. the point on the polygon being drawn. That let me get something that looked something like a bright white fog along the floor.

One thing led to another, and I was varying the density by the Y coordinate and setting the top bounds of it depending where it was in the X-coordinate in order to make it higher near the model and the two colored columns. At the end, I tossed on a cloud texture to give it a whispy top. To be clear, the fog effect is in the scene. It was not postworked in any way.

The model is a V3 w/ dynamic hair, and the two columns are textured with some of Ajax's freestuff shaders. Some of the spotlights are also using some of my own shaders as well.

It's not great art, but for a shader experiment, it came out pretty well.

Behind the Scenes

The secret lives of emoticons. I had a lot of fun with this piece.

Between Grass and Sky

Between grass and sky,
There I lie.

. . .

This was originally going to be just a quickie to test the idea of using dynamic hair for grass blades. Then the girl showed up, so I figured she deserved a chance at my first IBL lighting along with my first full-scene AO shadows.

The grass itself is a cloth draped over some morphed spheres with an AJAX freestuff shader to form the base of the grass. The longer grass blades are dynamic hair with gravity reversed.

Does This Dress...?

"Does this dress make my ass look fat?"

. . .

I'm playing with a dress from Mapps that I can now see from some of his other images was probably meant for someone with a tail. Oops.

I was also playing with an IBL fill again, this time with better luck. It really is meant for ambient fills, but that concept had eluded me before. The IBL came out fine here, though I never quite got my spots balanced out the way I wanted.

That's V3 by DAZ.
