Ongoing construction

I know this site has been "under construction" for quite a while now, but I'm finally setting it up for real now. I'm attempting to use MovableType to set it up as a gallery site, and I believe I can have it up and running shortly.

Pretty in Pink

Julia looked so good in this, I had to take a few photos.

Still Julia, still pretty...

Rhiannon's Mini-Dress

Image is NSFW

Rhiannon wanted a mini-dress painted on for a party. Note the green lace trim. That was done via an inverse image. I painted on a solid green band, and then used a paper-lace doily to shield the green from a flesh-colored paint I sprayed on, leaving a green lace pattern behind. The technique still needs some work, but it still came out quite well.

Not A Chick

She is not a chick. She's an axe-wielding, tattood bad-ass who just might reduce you to deli-meat if you don't apologize right now.

This one was really just an exercise in getting my feet we again after about a month away from Poser, but I'm sufficiently pleased with the result that I'm considering rendering this one again at high resolution for printing.

Almost ready

The site is now 90% ready. I just have to work out a few more templates, and then I'm going to start the long process of uploading years worth of content. Until then, you'll just have to satisfy yourselves with the few test images I've been using. But it'll be soon, maybe even today.

Uploading content

I've begun the long process of uploading content. I'm starting with simply transferring my Renderosity gallery of digital art over to here, and then I'll start going through some of my photographs to upload. Then I'll declare the site "operational" and announce it in a few places.

Robin's Smile

Just a quick little portrait I did, trying to match the look of a photograph.

Declaring it Open

I am declaring the site open. I still haven't uploaded my photographs yet, but going through that archive and picking them out is going to take a while, and I know that my motivation for that pales in comparison to my desire to work on new projects. Some of the older photographs will eventually get up here, but I'm not going to hold up the site while I do that.

So, the Digital Art and Bodypainting sections are all fully loaded. Enjoy.

Yet another boring pin-up...

This one is using Vicky 4.0. I'm really missing the real-skin-shader I use on all my other images, but it hasn't been updated for V4 yet. Oh well.

Landscape Test

I'm just trying my hand at creating some landscapes in Poser to user as backdrops for other scenes. The mountains are a morphed prop plus a procedural color/displacement texture I'm working up. The sky is procedural, but the planet/moon pairing beyond are props.

I kind of like it, but I think everything's a little too rough. I'd expect the mountains to have patches of semi-flat faces, and I'd like the vegetation to be a little rounder, like someone dropped a mountain of green M&M's.

Anyway, just an experiment. I know there are other tools far better suited for landscapes than Poser, but Poser is my main tool, so I'm trying to learn to do it here.

NSFW notice

From here on out, the thumbnails should be work-safe, and a NSFW alert will appear with the thumbnails in the various feeds. That alert will mean that while the thumbnail may be safe-for-work, the click-through image is not.

Yet Another Boring Pin-up...

These girls are ready for spring, so if that groundhog sees his shadow, it might just be the last thing he ever sees.
